Hello Floyd Light Family,

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO START SCHOOL this Fall! We have been planning all summer for the start of the school year and cannot wait to have our students back in classrooms. 
Please see the upcoming dates for the gradual entry schedule and more. The normal school schedule for the rest of the year:

• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays school is from 8:20 – 3:00. 
• Wednesdays are 9:40 – 3:00. 

We will distribute Student Planners on the first day of school. Please plan to look through it with your student. It has answers to lots of questions! Also, there are some required signatures.

We plan to have Back to School Night/Open House on Thursday, September 21st from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The Cafeteria doors will open at 5:30 with light snacks/drinks. Information about Floyd Light being a Title 1 school will be handed out, and a presentation will start at 6:00 followed by a self-guided tour.

We highly recommend using ParentVue and ParentSquare this school year. 

• ParentSquare: ParentSquare is designed to keep caregivers informed and make communicating easy. It provides a safe method for principals, teachers, staff, and caregivers to communicate and share information through email, text, and phone messages. We encourage everyone to activate their ParentSquare account to take full advantage of this tool. 
• ParentVue: Synergy ParentVUE is a tool to help families stay informed about their student’s progress. This tool can be used to access your student’s grades, attendance information, and also to communicate with teachers. Please contact the office staff to activate your account.
